Wedding Flower FAQs

Booking wedding flowers

  • What is the process for booking wedding flowers with you?

You’ll first fill out my inquiry form on the website here. Next I will contact you to find a time we can chat over the phone to learn more about each other. I will ask you more questions about your vision for your wedding and we will discuss your budget. Then I’ll either send a preliminary proposal and/or we will meet in person to further discuss the details. Once you have booked me and sent your deposit I will send you a more detailed proposal and make sure everything looks good. We will chat again about a month before your wedding to double check the quantities of everything in case you have added tables etc. Within a few days of the last chat you will send in your final deposit so that I can confidently order your flowers and any hardgoods for your wedding. Then, on the day of your wedding you will have the gorgeous flowers we have been planning for.

  • I don’t know much about flowers, but I like them. Can you still help me?

Absolutely! I don’t expect you to know everything about flowers. That’s my job! Some of the most fun I have is in getting to know my clients and the types of styles they are drawn to and then creating something gorgeous and one of a kind suited to the specific couple.

  • What do I need to know before I contact you about wedding flowers?

Ideally you should have a date and a venue picked before contacting me to discuss wedding flowers in detail. There are a couple of reasons for that. First is that as Weddings are large events, I need to make sure I am available on the date you have picked before I can commit. Secondly, your venue is likely to influence some design decisions regarding your flowers.

  • What experience do you have doing events?

In addition to designing weddings on my own, I’ve worked for a number of different companies that focused on floral design for events. I have also taken intensive online courses specifically focused on wedding design.
