Floral DIY classes - What to expect
I ran some of my first DIY floral classes in December and they were fun and also really relaxing. We all sipped on hot cocoa or tea and listened to quiet piano music as we designed our wreaths. We had four students at the last class, so everyone got lots of personalized attention and assistance when they wanted it. Once everyone had assembled their wreaths they were able to decorate them. We had locally foraged pinecones, beautiful glass ornaments, hand-tied bows and berry picks.
No two students made theirs exactly the same, and they all turned out beautifully! The first couple classes I offered didn’t get as much traction, so I needed to instate a new policy of only allowing ticket sales up until two days before the class date. That way I am able to buy enough for the class to have plenty, but not so much that I drown in product later. I think it works out best for everyone since it allows me to continue to offer the classes at reasonable prices.
In late January (Jan 23) and early February (Feb 6) I am offering a new class series at Sassy Girl Chalet in Chicago Ridge for you and your besties: Galentine’s Floral design classes. They will run for approximately 1-1.5 hours and will be similarly relaxing and fun! There is no pressure in my classes to do everything exactly right. I’m there to facilitate your relaxed enjoyment as you play with flowers and learn new design principles. We will discuss flower care and longevity secrets. You can purchase your tickets right on my website now! There are three different size arrangements you can make. You can make a small arrangement for $25, a medium arrangement for $40 or a larger arrangement for $55. I will bring vase transport boxes with me so no matter which arrangement you choose to create you will be able to take it home all safe and sound!

I am so excited to share my love of floral design with you in the classroom environment. I really believe that we have an innate drive to create and my favorite medium is flowers. They bring so much joy and lightness into our lives. They are one of few things you can buy that I believe can truly help you be happier and more calm.
